Tapper Legacy helps you keep your memories alive indefinitely.
Tapper Legacy is a first of its kind legacy app that allows users to make private videos for individuals or groups, that are sent out to their friends, family and loved ones either on a pre-chosen date or after the users passing.
Joining Tapper is an act of love. We don’t typically know when our time will come and it is important to be prepared. End-of-life preparations help bring ease and peace to our loved ones during their time of grief. Tapper Legacy is one step in the preparation process. Use Tapper to make personal videos to share your true feelings and thoughts with everyone you love so they have a piece of you with them to cherish long after you are gone.
Tapper Legacy delivers your videos, which we call Taps in one of two ways.
1: You can choose a specific date in the future such as a birthday, aniversary or any other relevant date you want your Tapto be sent out to a specific person or group of people. Then, when that date comes, the Taps will be sent.
2: We have developed a new kind of tool called a Time Trigger. Let me explain how the Time Trigger works:
Step 1: After you create your Tap, you will be able to designate the recipients (an individual or group).
Step 2: Once the recipient(s) information is added, the Time Trigger starts counting down from 30 days.
Step 3: Over the next 30 days, you will receive regular notifications reminding you how much longer until your Time Trigger is activated.
(E.g. “Your Tapper Time Trigger will reach 0 in 14 days. Please log in to your Tapper app now to reset your Time Trigger and keep your Tapper videos from being distributed.”)
You can log on to your Tapper Legacy account to reset the Time Trigger or wait. (We recommend not waiting)
Step 4: If you have not reset your Time Trigger within the 30-day, you will receive the following message,
“Your Time Trigger has run out. Please log in now to reset your Time Trigger and keep your Tapper videos from being distributed.”
Step 5: If you were unable to reset your Time Trigger by the 30th day, you will receive several more notices over the next 14 days requesting you to log in to the Tapper app to reset your Time Trigger.
Step 6: If you have not logged into your Tapper Legacy account to reset your Time Trigger after the 30-day Time Trigger count down and the additional 2 weeks allotted time, then Tapper Legacy will understand you have moved on and your Taps will be sent out to those you chose on your behalf.
When it comes to security, Tapper Legacy does not take chances. We know your content is not only important but truly irreplaceable. Our servers are maintained with the highest level of security and the most up-to-date technology available. We work continuously to ensure your videos and memories are always kept safe and secure!
Only those who you designate will be able to view your videos.
1: When you create a video, you choose the recipient(s). Each of these individuals, or groups of people will need to accept your invitation and register with Tapper Legacy to receive your Tap(s).
*Note: There is no fee to receive Taps.
2: The Legacy feature [COMING SOON]. This amazing feature will allow your designated recipients to pass your videos on to the next generation so they may hear your words and ensure you are always remembered.
The simple answer is, NO. The videos are not and cannot be accessed by anyone other than those you have given permission to. This is to ensure full privacy and security for all our users as well as ensures you have the freedom to speak your mind with ease.
The Tapper Legacy process requires both the sender and the receiver to agree. When you make a Tap, you will designate a receiver, or in the case of a group, receivers. After you submit your Tap, a message will go to each receiver to let them know you have created a video, “[Your Name] has Tapped you on the Tapper Legacy app.” If the person rejects the video, you will be notified.
What to do next? First, verify the contact information is correct. If all the information is correct, contact the receiver and confirm they know you sent the request, and advise you would like them to accept it. You may then resubmit your request. You also have the option to change the receiver. Please note, if your videos are rejected 3 times, that potential receiver’s email address will be locked from receiving any videos from you in the future.
As explained in an earlier question, the Time Trigger is the feature developed by our team to ensure your video messages will go out automatically and not prematurely. Here are the steps which explain how the Time Trigger works.
Step 1: You make a Tap and set the receiver(s) information.
Step 2: The Time Trigger starts counting down from 30 days.
Step 3: Over the next 30 days you will receive a push notification letting you know how much longer until your Time Trigger is activated (Eg. “Your Tapper Time Trigger reached 0 in 14 days. If you want to reset your Time Trigger to stop your Tapper videos from being sent out, log in to your Tapper app now.). You can log in to your Tapper Legacy account anytime to reset the Time Trigger or wait. (We recommend not waiting)
Step 4: On the 30th day, if you have not reset your Time Trigger you will receive the following message “Your Time Trigger has ran out. Please log in now to reset your Time Trigger.”
Step 5: If you were unable to reset your Time Trigger by the 30th day, you will receive several more notices over the next 14 days requesting you to log in to your Tapper Legacy account to reset your Time Trigger.
Step 6: If you have not logged into your Tapper Legacy account to reset your Time Trigger after the 30-day Time Trigger count down and the additional 2 weeks allotted, Tapper will understand you have moved on and your Taps will be sent out to those you chose on your behalf.
At this time there is no method to changing the duration of the Time Trigger or the frequency of reminders. This is a function we have in development for a future version of Tapper Legacy.
As a Tapper Legacy Member, you can make an unlimited number of Taps to an unlimited number of receivers.
There is no limit to the length of each Tap you make. However, we do recommend Taps to be around 5 minutes in length as, depending on your internet connection, the upload time can easily be equal to the length of the Tap. (eg. a Tap that is 10 minutes may take 10 minutes to upload).
Your Videos: Tapper Legacy is a living legacy capsule. Even though you may not be around any longer, your videos will remain indefinitely and be enjoyed by your receiver indefinitely.
Your videos will be shareable by the receiver to any of their Tapper connections so your legacy can live on through the generations, or saved just for them.
Your Account:
Once your Time Trigger has been activated and your videos have been sent out, your account will be placed in suspension which will not allow anyone to log in or access the account to make changes. All videos will remain on the account indefinitely and no additional fees or costs will be associated with this account.
If you choose to cancel your account, of course we will be sad to see you go, but all videos and content you have placed on Tapper Legacy will be permanently removed and unrecoverable. Please make this decision wisely as there is no do overs.
If you miss a payment on your account you are given an additional 30 days to get caught up. If after the 30 days a payment is not received your account is put into hibernation. All your videos will remain on the Tapper Legacy system but none will be sent out until the account is brought up to good standing. Once the account balance has been brought to a zero balance, you may continue to use Tapper as usual.
